Autumn Buys

- L -

It seems like the longer you put off blogging, the harder it is to get yourself back into it. Lately it just seems like blogging hasn't been on the top of the 'to-do' list for both S and I.

Both my mum and brother have decided to holiday in Vietnam without me, leaving me home alone and to fend for myself. On top of that, work hours have become more demanding plus trying to find some spare time for the boyfriend as well. So with the recent tight schedule, there hasn't been much 'blog-worthy' things to post. That being said, here are few Autumn buys that have been enjoying so far.

Etude House Ice-Cream Nails, was a purchase decided purely on it's super cute packaging. I started off with just two, because there was a special "buy two get one free" offer in the store at the time. When i got home, hoarding instincts took over and I knew, for the life of me, I just had to get the rest of the colours. The formula is really good and the polish glides on very smoothly with a variety of beautiful colours. I got these adorable polishes for $4 each in a little local Springvale store.

The Face Shop real nature mask sparked the beginning of my current obsession with skin care products. I've never used face masks before, it did feel a bit silly and I struggled getting the mask onto my face but the results were there. After 10~12 minutes I removed the mask but left the residue essence to absorb into my skin. Which left my face feeling very fresh, hydrated and smooth.

S suggested that I try out Formula 10.0.6 Three Times Sublime to help with the tiny blackheads on the tip of my nose. I've been using it 3 times a week for the past 2 weeks now, my blackheads haven't completely disappeared, but they have cleared up quite a lot and are much less noticeable now. Plus it smells amazing, I think the two main reasons I buy an product would be because of its packaging and smell. Again with hoarding instincts, I wasn't happy with just one, so Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask joined the family. You apply a thin layer over your face and leave to dry for roughly 10~15 minutes, and then wash off thoroughly with warm water. It felt weird as the mask dried on my face, like PVA glue, all I wanted to do was peel it off. That said, my face felt a lot smoother and brighter.

The Face Shop Green Grape Hand & Body Shiffon Cream is probably one of my favorite purchases so far. One whiff of this hand cream and I was literally throwing my money at the store counter. It smells S O  G O O D and it doesn't stop there, it's cream formula is probably one of the best I have ever tried, ever. Most creams, usually leave a greasy residue on your hands but this leaves your hand feeling silky smooth with a sweet grape scent. For only $8 a tub, from The Face Shop store located in Melbourne Central, Seriously guys, try it out!

Last but not least, I bought the Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub. It was mainly a necessity purchase, because of my horrible chapped lips. This has been an absolute life saver, my lips usually chap horribly when I wear lipsticks (especially matte ones), which meant after only a short time I would end up rubbing the lipstick off because my lips were getting too dry to leave it on. So now before applying lipstick, I would scrub my lips with the Lush Lip Scrub, lick off the excess sugar (yes that't right you can simply lick it off once you're done) and then apply lip balm to protect the smooth lips that I have just exposed. I don't think it would be something I would purchase again, $10 for basically a small tub of flavored sugar is a bit much. You can use plain old sugar from the pantry and that would work just as well.

So what have you been up to lately?
